Since mid of the fifties Graessner manufactures Spiral and Hypoid bevel gears on Gleason gear cutters. Quality and customer orientation, combined with many years of experience, proved the reputation, that Greassner gear sets are used in applications, where performance and reliability is dominating.
yesterdaytoday
Beginning of the seventies Graessner set a standard with the cubic Universal gearbox, with ratios up to 5:1 and all faces machined. Mid of the seventies the Hypoid range was introduced. Ratios up to 10:1 in a single stage were a sensation at that time and are still extraordinary today.

Beginning of the eighties Graessner presented the PowerGear right angle gearbox, with a performance density not beaten up to date. A specific developed gearing allows highest torque at extreme small dimensions.

Mid of the eighties Graessner presented with the Bevel Helical gearbox again a novelty. Ratios up to 50:1 in only 2 stages, combined with extreme high torque and a backlash < 5 arcmin, were and are partly still unbeaten.

Based on quality and extraordinary reliability Graessner products proved their exceptional performance in all industrial branches in any kind of application. This could only be achieved, by having the necessary core competence within the company.
Based on the long standing experience Graessner started end of 1998 a new development push.
